With more than 35 years of experience in relocation services, Reinhart provides full service to renters.
Reinhart can assist renters interested in apartment community living, as well as those interested in renting single-family homes.

Apartment Rentals
Reinhart’s RentFAST staff, who are members of the Relocation Department, assist renters looking for apartments in apartment complexes throughout the greater Ann Arbor area. The RentFAST team identifies your complete housing needs including location, price, amenities, and timeframe. Next, RentFAST does a market search, resulting in a set of available options for you to review. These options are presented to you via e-mail, fax, or hard copy, according to your preference. Through personal follow-up, RentFAST learns which of the options you are interested in pursuing, then sets appointments for you at each of those locations. RentFAST will then provide you with a complete itinerary and directions from property to property. These steps are big time-savers and guarantees that when you arrive at the community, the leasing agent is fully informed about your specific needs and will be prepared to address them. If you are unable to make the tour on your own, arrangements can be made for RentFAST staff to take you on the tour. For this service, the fee is $200 for a half-day, and $450 for a full-day tour.
After the appointments, RentFAST follows up again. If assistance is needed in finalizing arrangements with a particular property, that is provided. Sometimes a new search is needed, with different parameters. In any event, RentFAST stays on the case until you have identified a community that suits you and the lease has been signed.

RentFAST also assists with temporary living, working with a number of providers of corporate apartments. In addition, RentFAST has the capability of putting together extremely competitive corporate housing options through its contacts with leasing agents and furniture and home ware providers.

The services provided by RentFAST are offered at no cost to you or your employing company (except when providing the tour, as noted above). RentFAST is compensated by the apartment communities, following the signing of the lease. This arrangement has no impact on your opportunity to participate in whatever specials may be currently offered. RentFAST provides area landlords with highly qualified leads, much better prospects than the walk-ins leasing agents receive, and accordingly RentFAST’s services are highly valued by landlords. RentFAST represents more than 150 properties in Washtenaw and western Wayne Counties. Follow-up surveys are sent to clients at the close of each transaction; responses have been overwhelmingly favorable throughout RentFAST’s twelve year history.

Single-family Home Rentals
Through its Commercial Real Estate division, Reinhart provides property management services to owners of income properties throughout Washtenaw County. Four property managers handle approximately 200 single-family residences and condominiums for these owners. At any one time, there are a number of these rentals available to you, and the property managers are happy to assist in meeting with and showing properties to you. There is no charge for the services of the property managers.

“Cheap” fun may be the best kind.  Friday night a host of Reinhart people collaborated to organize a fabulous evening of dinner, dancing and great music.  In keeping with leadership’s pledge to run a tight ship, there was very little money spent to throw a terrific party.  Kurt and Grace Greaves donated the use of their eye-popping country estate in Saline for a Reinhart employee party.  Music was provided by Audio High, a local up and coming band, which features Reinhart IT Director Chris Kolano on lead guitar.  A keg of beer was donated by Wolverine Brewing Company and was quite delicious, I must say.  Attendees contributed pot luck, mostly home-made food, and a good time was had by all.  It ’s estimated approximately 150 attended.  The weather was perfect.  It couldn’t have been a nicer evening.

Special thanks to the Greaves, Julie Picknell, ET Crowe, Louise Lutton and Chris Kolano.  Chris, don’t even think about quitting your day job, although you probably could.  Your band is first-rate!

On Friday, June 12, Michigan Ability Partners awarded Charles Reinhart Company the “2009 Community Spirit Award”. MAP is a community organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities by providing housing and employment services. The award was presented at their annual fundraising event at Travis Pointe Country Club in Saline.

Reinhart was chosen to receive the award for several reasons. The company has made a financial contribution to MAP over the last three years and has sponsored an annual coat drive, providing winter coats to many organizations in need throughout the county. In addition, three individuals were recognized for their many hours of service–Jeri Sawall for helping MAP locate and purchase affordable housing projects and rentals, Barbara Zinser for her time and support and David Lutton for the hundreds of hours of service he invests in service to reducing homelessness.

In a letter to the company, Susan Hornfeld, CEO of Michigan Ability Partners, said, “As a private company affected profoundly by the economic downturn in Michigan, The Charles Reinhart Company Realtors has consistently thought of ways to help others who are most vulnerable to find their way home.”

Thanks for the award, and for recognizing the efforts of a few of the great people who work here.

We have all heard the message “ It’s a good time to buy”, but have we really thought about what are the right reasons to buy? The benefits of home ownership are many and its easy to lose sight of why you should want to become a homeowner. It isn’t just because of the unprecedented pounding that the housing market has taken, but there are some basic fundamentals.

More Affordability…Houses in Washtenaw county have been adjusted to levels that create bargains to those who are first time home buyers or who wish to trade up.

Interest rates…Now at near record lows. When interest rates change even one percent, it can significantly decrease a monthly payment making homeownership available to more buyers.

Large Inventory of Homes…More homes to choose from especially in lower price ranges that appeal to first time home buyers and investors.

Newer homes are more energy efficient…Any newer home, built within the last few years, can be twice as energy efficient as homes built a generation ago. Tax credits are available to those who purchase an older home and do approved renovations that meet the criteria for improving energy efficiency.

Tax Benefits…Mortgage interest and property taxes are deductable. First time homebuyer tax credits of $7,500 for those who meet the criteria.

Personal Wealth…Owning a home is usually a primary source of net worth. According to an article in Builder magazine, Americans today have over $9 trillion in equity in their homes.

Investment Leveraging….When you purchase a home, only a fraction of the total price is used as your cash down payment. This makes the rate of return on a home purchase much greater than it would be on another investment with the same value.

Personal Satisfaction….There’s no place like home. Home ownerships strengthens communities and is truly a cornerstone of the American way of life.
