Ann Arbor district honored for music education

The Ann Arbor school district has been named one of the nation’s
“Best Communities for Music Education” by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation.
The district is one of four in Michigan to receive the honor.
Participants in the NAMM survey answered questions about funding, graduation requirements,
music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and other factors.
The responses were verified with district officials, and advisory organizations reviewed the data.
